Being part of Multifaith Center's Linguistic Imperialism Exhibit, c.loud is an interactive installation with aims to facilitate free conversation, challenging ethnic, racial, and language discrimination.

Ceramic cylinders imprinted with words are hung and dispersed. The intent is for 2 people to communicate through the cloud of words by sticking them together, forming phrases and ideas. It also acts as a message board for others to see, respond, or re-connect to form other ideas. As asians living in a non-asian country, we've seen and experienced situations where our ethnicity has been a reason of disconnect between individuals. Assumptions are made simply because of the language a person speaks. Our hope with c.loud is for realization, but also action, for people to not only know, but to act against these barriers that cloud communication.
